Our client, a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Birmingham, is currently seeking a Personal Tax Manager for its highly-respected Private Client team.

The team’s expertise attracts work of the highest quality and they are now keen to make a strategic appointment at Manager level.

The incoming individual will oversee an impressive portfolio of client, their compliance and ad hoc tax planning.

The role would suit a talented CTA qualified Assistant Manager ready to step up, or an existing Manager keen to progress their career in an environment where they will be supported in their development towards Senior Manager and Director grades.

The successful candidate will be in charge of preparing and reviewing structured reports in support of the claims made, including descriptions of R&D projects identified and setting out why the projects are considered eligible for relief. You will be working with the relevant client contacts to gather detailed financial, HR and any other data to facilitate the calculation of the relief, including where necessary designing methodologies for quantifying the eligible R&D expenditure.

You will also be reviewing complex compliance prepared by junior staff, as well as handling advisory projects (working closely with partners where required).

It is a high profile role and very much client-facing as the key relationship manager.
